Portuguese: Course description

This course runs for two semesters, for four hours of teaching per week (4SWS). It provides an introduction to the Portuguese-speaking world.

The focus of the course is the European variant of Portuguese. The material used will teachin the grammar, vocabulary and expressions of the Portuguese language as it is spoken in Portugal. Given that around 240 million people speak Portuguese as their first language, and communicate with each other without difficulty regardless of their background, this course will also be interesting to thise who wish to study or do an internship in Brazil. To this end, the characteristics of Brazillian Portuguese will also be highlighted in this course.
