What is the GER/CEFR?

GER = Gemeinsamer Europäischer Referenzrahmen

CEFR = Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

  • The CEFR states the language level of a language learner and is divided as follows:

 

A1 – Basic user - Breakthrough

A2 – Basic user - Waystage

 

B1 – Independent user - Threshold

B2 – Independent user - Vantage

 

C1 – Proficient user - Advanced

C2 – Proficient user – Mastery
