When are the next Language Proficiency Tests taking place?

Things to know before registering

• The test is only available to students of the OVGU Magdeburg.
• You can only register for a test with Moodle, using a valid university account.
• The registration period runs for two weeks before the day of the test.
• A maximum of 12 participants per test is allowed.
• No individual test will be administered to students outside of the examination dates listed above.

What is the schedule for the test?

1. Writing part: Letter of Motivation (submission until one day before the test date)
2. Reading comprehension: 30 minutes preparation time
3. Speaking part: 30 minutes questions on reading comprehension and interview (with 2-3 students)

What do you need to bring to the test?

• Proof of payment of the €15 fee.
• Letter of Motivation (detailed instruction in Moodle course of the test)
  • Layout: The letter should be 400 - 500 words, in English and to the standard of a formally written letter.
  • Content: What are you studying? Why do you want to go abroad? Why should you be chosen for studying abroad, doing an internship, and so on? What do you plan to do and achieve during your time abroad? How are you preparing?
  • Purpose: The Letter of Motivation serves as preparation for the interview. As such you must write it yourself, without the help of others!
  • The letter has to be submitted until the day before the test date.
• If you need a DAAD or BVMD certificate, please bring it with you to the test, filled out in advance.

Present your student identification on the day of the test.
